There are three things I want in the morning when my alarm goes off: another hour of sleep, a cup of coffee, and a fresh out of the oven Danish pastry of the cinnamon remonce variety. What is cinnamon remonce? Only the most mouth-watering pastry filling of all time. To make your own cinnamon remonce for your Danish:
- 4.5 oz soft butter
- 9 oz brown sugar
- 2 tbsp cinnamon
- Pastry dough
- Mix all ingredients together until the mixture has a doughy, pliable consistency.
- Spread the mixture over your pastry dough before you shape and bake.
Try this when you happen upon an extra few minutes in the morning, or more likely on a Saturday when you, hopefully, don’t have to rush off to work!
