The Best Part of Waking Up

#Cinnamon #Danish #pastries rock my world. Let me explain.

There are three things I want in the morning when my alarm goes off: another hour of sleep, a cup of coffee, and a fresh out of the oven Danish pastry of the cinnamon remonce variety. What is cinnamon remonce? Only the most mouth-watering pastry filling of all time. To make your own cinnamon remonce for your Danish:


  • 4.5 oz soft butter
  • 9 oz brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • Pastry dough


  1. Mix all ingredients together until the mixture has a doughy, pliable consistency.
  2. Spread the mixture over your pastry dough before you shape and bake.

Try this when you happen upon an extra few minutes in the morning, or more likely on a Saturday when you, hopefully, don’t have to rush off to work!
