Satay is an incredibly popular #Asian dish, having originated in #Indonesia. There are actually hundreds of variations, though we are going to focus on the peanut sauce used in a simple variant today.
- 1/2 c coconut milk
- 2 tbsp + 2 tsp peanut butter
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tbsp fish sauce
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes
- Cook coconut milk on medium until just starting to boil
- Reduce heat and add all the other ingredients
- Simmer for about 5 minutes, then turn off heat
Generally grilled, skewered meat is provided with the satay, and it is dipped in a sauce like this one. Stay tuned when we use it in our completed fusion dish!
